Jin Renshun, an ethnic Korean writer, was born in 1970 in Baishan, Jilin Province. Among her best-known works are the short story collection Aiqing lengqi liu 爱情冷气流 (The Cold Front of Love), Moonlight, Oh Moonlight (Yueguang a yueguang 月光啊月光), the essay collection Fangfu yi chang bairi meng 仿佛一场白日梦 (Like a Dream in Broad Daylight), the novella Lücha 绿茶 (Green Tea ), and Mama de jiangtang guan 妈妈的酱汤馆 (Mom’s Soup Restaurant). Throughout her career, she has received numerous literary awards, including the People’s Literature Award.
Jin Renshun’s short story “La cortigiana” (ji 伎, lit. The Courtesan) was published in Caratteri (Le vie della seta, 2018, pp. 56-63).
