Jin Renshun, an ethnic Korean writer, was born in 1970 in Baishan, Jilin Province. Among her best-known works are the short story collection The Cold Front of Love (Aiqing lengqi liu 爱情冷气流), Moonlight, Oh Moonlight (Yueguang a yueguang 月光啊月光), the essay collection Like a Dream in Broad Daylight (Fangfu yi chang bairi meng 仿佛一场白日梦), the novella Green Tea (Lücha 绿茶), and Mum’s Soup Restaurant (Mama de jiangtang guan 妈妈的酱汤馆). Throughout her career, she has received numerous literary awards, including the People’s Literature Award.

Jin Renshun’s short story “La cortigiana” (ji 伎, lit. The Courtesan) was published in Caratteri (Le vie della seta, 2018, pp. 56-63).
