Fei Dao holds a PhD in literature and teaches in the Department of Literature at Tsinghua University. Among his most representative works are the short story collections Chinese Sci-Fi Blockbusters (Zhongguo kehuan dapian 中国科幻大片) and The Long Journey to Death (Qu si de manman lütu 去死的漫漫旅途). He has also published numerous articles in academic journals such as Science Fiction Studies and Wenxue pinglun. His works have been translated into Japanese, English, Italian, and German.
Fei Dao’s short story “Il robot cantastorie” (Jiang gushi de jiqiren 讲故事的机器人, The Story-Telling Robot) was published in Caratteri (Mondi Futuri, 2019, pp. 68-73). With this translation, Natalia Riva won the 6th edition of the translation contest organized by Caratteri.
