I was born in Milan in 1956. I teach Italian Contemporary Literature and Comparative Literature at the “Riccardo Massa” Department of Human Sciences for Education of the University of Milano-Bicocca. My research interests include 20th century narrators (namely Italo Calvino and Primo Levi, but also Bassani, Manganelli, Lampedusa) and literary theory (narratology, theory of reading, anthropological approaches to literary experience). I have also published books about Manzoni’s novel and Ungaretti’s poems. I have been a board member of the yearbooks founded by Vittorio Spinazzola Pubblico (1977-1987) and Tirature (1990-2020). I write reviews for the website “Doppiozero”.
