I have a Degree (combined BA+MA) in Asian Studies from the University of Naples “L’Orientale”, an MRes in East Asian Studies and a PhD in Intercultural Studies from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

I am an assistant professor of Chinese language and literature at the University of Milano-Bicocca. Previously, I taught Chinese Literature (both classical and modern/contemporary) and Classical Chinese at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Additionally, I lectured at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, also in Barcelona. Moreover, I was a teaching fellow in Chinese at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and a visiting research fellow at the Southern University College in Johor, Malaysia.

My research focuses on Sinophone literature and film, with a special focus on Southeast Asia (Malaysia and Singapore), and I translate modern and contemporary Sinophone fiction. I have also published on Chinese Peruvian writer Siu Kam Wen.
